Interactive roof report vs. a PDF inspection report

Most inspection reports go out as a PDF attachment. Here is what changes when the report is a link the homeowner opens on their phone.

Why it matters for closing

The hardest part of an inspection-to-contract sale is the gap after you leave the driveway. A homeowner with a question either calls you, calls someone else, or does nothing. Knowing the moment they open the report lets you call while it's on their screen, and the questions they asked tell you what to talk about.

What stays the same

You still inspect the roof and decide what you saw. The AI drafts the findings under each photo; you check and edit them before anything goes out. Nothing reaches the homeowner until you press send.

Common questions

Can a homeowner still get a PDF of an interactive roof report?

Yes. A Ridgeline report saves as a PDF from the report itself, and there is a separate insurance photo packet with every photo and its date, laid out for an adjuster.

How does a roofer know when the homeowner opens the report?

Ridgeline sends the roofer a notification when the report is opened and shows what the homeowner looked at and asked, with an engagement score, so the follow-up call happens while they're reading.

Who answers the homeowner's questions about the report?

An AI assistant built into the report answers from the inspection's own findings, any time of day, and the roofer can see the questions. It never promises an insurance outcome; the carrier decides coverage.

Does the AI write the report for the roofer?

It drafts the findings under each photo from the roofer's photos and notes. The roofer checks and edits them before anything goes to the homeowner, and marks the damage that was confirmed on the roof.
